AnaMary Bilbao

AnaMary Bilbao (1986) is a Portuguese-Spanish visual artist based in Lisbon. She studied Painting and Cinema at Ar.Co – Art Centre & Visual Communication. In 2014 she was distinguished as “Young Visual Artist” by Portuguese Centre for Arts And Ideas. Selected shows: Past present (solo show, 2013) at Boavista Gallery; Fallacious Memory (solo show, 2014) at Caroline Pagès gallery; On Drawing II (group show, 2014) at Cristina Guerra Contemporary Art; Mental Thing. Works in António Cachola Collection (group show, 2014); Correspondencias Lisboa-Barcelona (group show, 2014), organized by Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa Contemporary Art Centre at Espai Mallorca Cultural Centre (Barcelona, Spain). Currently, besides her work as visual artist, AnaMary Bilbao is doing a PhD in Artistic Studies – Art and Mediations at FCSH-UNL with a research grant from FCT. Her work is represented in national and international collections.
